Position Overview
Oro Labs is looking for a Payroll Specialist to coordinate payroll operations across the US, UK, Europe, and India. You will work with local payroll vendors in each country to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. This is a coordination-heavy role that requires strong attention to detail, clear communication with external vendors, and a solid understanding of payroll compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Coordination
- Act as the single point of contact for payroll across all geographies
- Coordinate with local payroll vendors to process monthly payroll on schedule
- Manage the global payroll calendar and ensure all deadlines are met
- Handle payroll inputs including new hires, exits, salary changes, bonuses, and commissions
- Review and validate payroll outputs from vendors before final processing
Compliance
- Ensure payroll tax filings and statutory deductions are handled correctly by vendors in each country
- Stay updated on payroll-related regulatory changes across the US, UK, Europe, and India
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with local laws and data privacy requirements
Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with payroll service providers across all geographies
- Monitor vendor performance and escalate issues as needed
- Support onboarding of new payroll vendors as the company expands
Reporting & Reconciliation
- Reconcile payroll data monthly and coordinate with Finance for accurate GL postings
- Prepare payroll cost summaries to support budgeting and forecasting
- Support internal and external audits with payroll data and documentation
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field
- 7–10 years of experience in payroll, with at least 3 years managing multi-country payroll
- Experience working with external payroll vendors across different jurisdictions
Skills
- Working knowledge of payroll regulations in the US, UK, and India
- Proficiency in payroll platforms and HRIS systems
- Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and reporting
- Good understanding of equity compensation and its payroll treatment

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional payroll certification (CPP, FPC, or equivalent)
- Experience in a SaaS or technology company
- Familiarity with Employer of Record (EOR) platforms
- European payroll experience
