WIth 170+ employees, located in Europe, US and India, ORO is a Series B’funded company with a number of enterprise customers. ORO is hiring a Business Development Director to sell SaaS contracts to the DACH region. This is a fully remote position and we are looking for people from Germany or the UK.

Role: Business Development Director

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Procurement Advisor: Collaborates closely with Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs), senior procurement executives, global process owners and digital transformation leaders, to provide guidance on procurement orchestration strategies and solutions.
  • Full Sales Cycle Ownership: Accountability of the entire sales process, from origination engagement to contract negotiation and closure. Cultivate relationships with key functional stakeholders, including procurement, finance, IT, legal, and operations. Successfully navigate complex, often lengthy, deal cycles.
  • New Business Development: Within the defined target market, proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities. Leverage your professional network and industry knowledge to build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
  • Strategic Advisor: Develop a deep understanding of enterprise procurement challenges and pain points. Position ORO's solutions as a strategic partner capable of driving transformational change, improving efficiency, and optimizing cost control.
  • Visionary Solution Selling: Showcase ORO's capabilities through tailored demonstrations and presentations that highlight the platform's potential to support customers' long-term digital transformation objectives

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrable Consultative Sales Experience: Gained within a managed procurement services or management consultancy business, supply chain or Procurement Technology (enterprise SaaS) environment.
  • Articulate in and understanding of: Digital in procurement, procurement transformation and strategic sourcing.
  • Interpersonal and Leadership Skills: Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to establish early trust, inspire confidence, build consensus, and drive cross-functional collaboration. Understands the importance of establishing and maintaining a ‘stakeholder powermap’
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and addressing complex procurement challenges.
  • Detail-Oriented and Hands-On Approach: Strong attention to detail, a proactive and hands-on approach to work, and a commitment to delivering tangible results.
  • Innovation and Value Creation: A passion for challenging the status quo, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing innovative solutions that deliver significant value.
