The Cross Border Team is split into 3 main teams, Commercial, Logistics and Business Operations. This role lies within the Logistics Vertical in the Cross Border team, in particular looking after the Sea Freight/Trucking operations.
The Cross Border Logistics team’s objective is to build competitive logistics products and customized solutions to support various sales channels in winning deals and growing the business. As a local member of the Cross Border Logistics team, the incumbent will be working closely with Regional Senior Operations, Cross border (Sea) Team and with our Sea Freight and Trucking logistics team for the sales channels. Aside, the incumbent requires to manage communications with vendors SLAs of product under care to ensure the products adhere to committed Service level agreements and ongoing Operational recovery.
This role exists with a main objective of bridging the gap between the regional team and the local operations, to ensure operational stability and scalability. The role is expected to work with various stakeholders, from local operations team, to both local and regional commercial teams in ensuring a balance between the commercial needs and operational constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor movement of ongoing shipments in each milestone/ silo
  • Daily update of milestones from vendors in a timely manner on system, where available
  • Systems adoption for BAU lanes
  • Oversees overall operational performances of current solutions/products
  • Management of L3 escalations, Ad-hoc ,or Exceptions
  • Responsible for SLA adherence (vendors/team)
  • Work with the Operations manager to support the implementation when onboarding new vendors
  • Maintain close relationships with local operations teams to ensure operational alignment and collaboratively enhance process efficiency
  • Prepare documentation for existing and existing lanes (receiving, recovery, BAU milestones)
  • Track and monitor ageing shipments and push vendors for outbound
  • Monitor vendor loss and damage rates
  • Main PIC for highlighting and resolving vendor loss/ damages
  • Execute Freight Scheduling and communicate with vendorsBe the subject matter expert for the export regulations and operations
  • Perform vendor invoice validation in accordance with XB's consumption data and vendor's update
  • Ensure that vendors compensation for losses/ damaged items are credited back to NV
  • Responsible in providing operational requirements and input prior/during vendor onboarding and pilot process
  • Responsible with monitoring vendor ops performances, key practices and and resolve daily operation issues
  • Able to bridge and streamline vendor practices against industry standards
  • L3 escalations - liaison with management (internal and external)
  • Main PIC for communication with vendors for BAU lanes
  • Ensure Vendor execute on instructions (consolidation/ vendor receiving/ destination addresses)
  • To understand and update Operation Manager on the market insight, changing of CN customs regulation & policy
  • Responsible for collating and presenting weekly/monthly performances on SLA adherence/Compliance/Billing accuracy to stakeholders
  • Responsible for deliverable monthly Sea Freight & Trucking performance deck at lane level

Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years in logistics/cross border experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any related field
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite (Sheets, Slides and Docs)
  • Self-starter attitude and able to work with minimal supervision
  • English and Mandarin. Proficiency in any other ASEAN languages is a plus.
