The HSE & Compliance Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the organization’s Health, Safety, Environment, and regulatory compliance programs. The role serves in an advisory capacity on all matters related to occupational health and safety, providing guidance to both employees and workers to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
The HSE & Compliance Officer ensures compliance with applicable government laws, including the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards issued by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), requirements of other relevant Philippine government agencies, internal operational policies, and the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, while promoting continual improvement and a safe working environment.
Main Duties:
Implement and monitor the company’s OSH program in compliance with DOLE standards and applicable regulations.
To conduct regular health and safety inspections across all company-owned and leased establishments, identify workplace hazards and unsafe practices, and monitor compliance with applicable safety requirements.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports with root cause analysis, while maintaining accurate incident records and compliance documentation.
To provide basic health assistance/instructions in giving first-aid treatment and to refer to the accredited hospital for other concerns beyond personal capacity, if necessary.
Monitor and replenish first aid and medical supplies.
To issue fit-to-work (FTW) clearance for returning sick employees.Facilitate OSH training and safety awareness programs in compliance with OSH laws and the QMS, and stay updated on applicable legal requirements to recommend necessary improvements and implementations.
Supports, Prepare documents and Track findings for any related compliance audit
Willing to be assigned at BGC (Head Office) & Laguna.
