About the Unit:
Legal Unit ensures the Company's compliance to external regulatory standards. In so doing, the Unit represents the Company on corporate, labor and litigation issues. The team also includes the Security Team tasked to perform investigations, security risk assessments, and recommend solutions to identified security gaps.
About the role:
The role will provide basic-level legal and administrative support to the Legal Team through document review and preparation, case management and administrative tasks. This role shall be permanently stationed at the Company’s Head Office and shall report directly to the Head of Legal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and draft routine legal documents and correspondences including demand letters, Secretary’s Certificates and Minutes of Meetings.
  • Assist in monitoring legal compliance and in the preparation and submission of reportorial requirements to regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in preparation of case files, including gathering of evidence and organizing documents.
  • Monitor case filings and update case files and information.
  • Organize and maintain corporate files and documents (physical and electronic) and ensure proper record keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a graduate of a (4) four-year Bachelor’s degree, preferably of a legal-related course
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as legal assistant/secretary or equivalent position
  • Experience with legal document preparation, legal research and office management
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications and/or Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to communicate with other business units
