About the Team
Meesho Grocery aims to revolutionise the way India shops for Grocery and towards that objective, we want to enable the lowest cost distribution for all daily needs. Grocery has the biggest share of the overall retail spend in India and is projected to be a $800B market in 2024, of which the majority contribution comes from non-metro cities. Grocery market in Metro and Tier 1 has become crowded with a lot of players trying to solve the supply chain but the higher cost of logistics restricts these players to disrupt the lower tier cities.
At Meesho Grocery, we are building the most cost-effective distribution channel to disrupt the grocery market in lower tier cities of India.
Meesho Grocery is an early stage mini start-up within Meesho with a completely different supply chain and modus operandi. We are a bunch of high energy enthusiasts working towards creating something cool and something big.
About the Role
As Manager Operations, you will lead a regional team to drive the expansion and efficiency of the grocery supply chain network. You will be responsible for onboarding partners across multiple legs of the supply chain, owning service and cost metrics for your zone, and managing a team of Cluster Managers and Associates to deliver on business objectives. You will also play a key role in identifying gaps, recommending improvements, and implementing scalable processes to strengthen the supply chain.
What you will do
- Partner Management: Own the onboarding, training, and performance management of supply chain partners across your zone.
- Process Compliance: Ensure adherence to operational processes and SOPs across all supply chain legs.
- Performance Ownership: Track, own, and deliver key operational metrics (service, cost, and efficiency) while achieving performance targets.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a distributed team of Cluster Managers and Associates to drive operational excellence.
- Tech & Process Improvements: Provide inputs to the product roadmap to enhance operational technology and implement network design strategies on-ground.
- Risk & Control: Drive initiatives to minimize material and cash leakages while ensuring financial discipline.
What you will need
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree from a reputed/premium institution.
- 6–8 years of experience in e-commerce, quick commerce, or supply chain operations.
- Proven expertise in partner onboarding, training, and management across supply chain legs.
- Strong experience in hiring, leading, and managing distributed teams.
- Exposure to both control tower operations and on-ground execution (preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
