If you are excited about driving 10X growth for India’s only true (and profitable 😀) e-commerce platform, then this might be the role for you.As part of the Meesho growth team, we drive end-to-end growth for Meesho: Awareness > Acquisition > Activation > Engagement > Retention > Resurrection. We are also the custodians of channelizing user intent in the most optimal way, which includes managing Meesho app Homepage, building Deal constructs; and also increasing repeat preference for Meesho through Sale events and various programs. Creative team is the engine powering each of the above workstreams. We have a diverse mix of video ninjas, designers, storytellers, content creators who work along with their business counterparts to build impactful creatives and deliver business results. Key pods:- Branding - Sale campaigns, Surgical unlocks, Brand Identity, etc. Social Media- Instagram, YouTube, etc.- Performance Marketing - Meta, Google, Play Store, etc.- CRM - Push notifications, Whatsapp, etc.- Homepage (App, Web) & Merchandizing- Strategic projects, e.g. grocery, GenAI
About the Role:
As Assistant Manager - Production (Motion & Video Strategy), you will lead the vision and execution of Meesho’s motion and video content to captivate India’s Tier 2, 3 and 4 audiences at a scale. You’ll define how we tell stories through motion, scale content across platforms, and solve communication problems through deeply contextual, high-performing video formats.
This role demands GenAI-first thinking, exceptional creative problem-solving, and the ability to build and manage a world-class team of video specialists. You’ll partner across creative, brand, growth, product, and category functions to bring campaigns to life at scale—driving business outcomes and building a memorable, modern brand presence.

What you will do

  • Lead Meesho’s motion and video content strategy across marketing channels, social platforms, and in-app experiences—designed for reach and relatability in Tier 2, 3 and 4 markets.
  • Drive the end-to-end creation and production of dynamic video content: scripting, storyboarding, editing, animation, sound design, regional adaptation, and creative delivery.
  • Use GenAI tools as core accelerators in ideation, content creation, visual refinement, and production scaling—embedding AI into the entire motion workflow.
  • Develop insight-led and culturally relevant visual storytelling that speaks to the aspirations, humour, and lifestyle of Bharat’s next billion users.
  • Build a motion-first design language that blends brand expression with performance-driven assets for Meta, Google, YouTube, Reels, and more.
  • Create and own execution playbooks and quality standards to ensure speed, consistency, and excellence across multiple motion and video formats.
  • Champion creative experimentation and content testing, using insights to optimize storytelling, asset structure, format lengths, and regional targeting.
  • Recruit, grow, and lead a team of passionate motion designers, editors, and AI-savvy creators who deliver high-velocity content with consistency and ambition.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and growth teams to co-own KPIs and creatively unlock impact through bold motion ideas and scalable formats.
  • Stay ahead of the curve on motion trends, GenAI evolution, platform behaviors, and regional content culture, integrating learnings into daily workstreams.

What you will need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Animation, Film, or equivalent related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in video production, motion design, or video creative direction, with a strong body of work across performance marketing, campaign storytelling, and regional engagement.
  • Mandatory experience with GenAI tools in video generation, asset extension, content localization, visual enhancement, or creative iteration (e.g., Runway, Veo, Kaiber, Gen-2 workflows, or equivalent).
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and mentor a motion design team, delivering high-quality content across platforms and campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of India’s Tier 2/3/4 digital behaviors, content preferences, and language nuances—plus experience designing content for vernacular users.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro,etc) , animation plug-ins and video optimization.
  • Strong creative instincts and data-informed mindset, with the ability to balance performance needs with breakthrough creative.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to work in fast-paced environments, juggle multiple projects, and meet tight timelines.
  • A portfolio showcasing motion-led campaigns, short-form content, and AI-infused storytelling at scale is mandatory.
