About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Informatics Apprenticeship to join our team, contributing to our efforts in transforming healthcare delivery through Value-Based Care (VBC) initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, basic understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, and a passion for leveraging data to drive better health outcomes and cost efficiencies. We are looking for individuals who will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are keen to significantly grow their skills and knowledge in clinical data analysis, clinical coding, and risk analysis.

Clinical Informatics Apprenticeship will work directly with our clinical data analysts, prior authorization and utilization management reviewers, qualified clinical informaticists, and data scientists. This role bridges clinical knowledge with analytics, clinical information exchange, supporting strategic decision-making and operational efficiency across our value-based care programs.

What We Offer:

  • A challenging and rewarding experience at the intersection of healthcare and technology.
  • Direct mentorship from experienced clinical informaticists, data scientists, and analysts.
  • Opportunity to make a tangible impact on Value-Based Care initiatives.

  • Regulatory Awareness: Research and stay informed on key updates related to CMS, HCC, NCQA, HEDIS, and other regulatory frameworks relevant to VBC and CMMI programs.

What you Need:

  • Clinical Background: Clinician experienced in direct patient care or clinical experience in a U.S. healthcare setting.
  • Data Familiarity: Familiarity with data concepts; exposure to SQL, FHIR, or experience working with clinical or claims datasets.
  • Analytical Aptitude: Demonstrated ability to approach clinical and operational challenges with a data-driven mindset, translating them into data requirements and potential insights.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and clinical problem-solving skills.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
  • Time Zone Alignment: Ability to work hours aligned with the U.S. Central Time Zone (typically 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM IST / 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM IST). This alignment is critical for real-time collaboration with U.S.-based teams.

Preferred:

  • Informatics Exposure: Prior exposure to clinical informatics, healthcare IT systems, or population health initiatives.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with concepts like HCC coding, risk adjustment, and quality metrics (e.g., HEDIS, STAR ratings).
  • Advanced Data Skills: More advanced experience with SQL, Python, R, or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Analytical thinking and clinical problem-solving
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Cross-functional collaboration and team orientation
  • Attention to detail with a systems-thinking mindset
