About the Role

As the Director of Events-Marketing , you will own the strategy, planning, and execution of Innovaccer’s U.S. event portfolio — spanning Tier-1 healthcare conferences, executive roundtables, hosted experiences, partner forums, and field events.

You will define our annual event strategy, determine where and how we show up, and ensure every event is aligned to enterprise GTM priorities. Working closely with Sales, Leadership, Product, and Growth Marketing, you will design event experiences that strengthen executive relationships, accelerate pipeline, and position Innovaccer as a category leader.

This role owns event strategy and execution end-to-end.

A Day in the Life

1. Annual Event Strategy & Portfolio Design

  • Develop and own Innovaccer’s annual U.S. event calendar, aligned to GTM priorities, target segments (Provider, Payer, Life Sciences, etc.), and revenue goals.
  • Define a clear event taxonomy and strategy framework (e.g., Tier 1 conferences, executive roundtables, hosted dinners, partner-led forums, customer summits, field events).
  • Establish selection criteria for:
  • Which events to sponsor vs. attend vs. host
  • Geographic priorities
  • Account concentration
  • Competitive presence
  • Align event mix with strategic priorities such as enterprise ABM, product launches, vertical focus areas, and brand positioning.
  • Conduct ROI and historical performance analysis to inform event investment decisions.

2. Event-Level Strategic Planning

For each priority event:

  • Define:
  • Target audience profile (in collaboration with Sales leadership)
  • Strategic objective (pipeline acceleration, executive relationship building, product positioning, brand awareness, etc.)
  • Core messaging and narrative
  • On-site experience design
  • Determine optimal event format and setting:
  • Booth strategy vs. hosted suite vs. private dinner vs. executive forum
  • Venue selection (luxury dining, curated experiences, healthcare-focused spaces, etc.)
  • Design agenda and flow:
  • Executive roundtables
  • Fireside chats
  • Customer storytelling
  • Thought leadership positioning
  • Identify appropriate strategic partners (e.g., Chime, HFMA, HIMSS, Becker’s, AHIP, regional healthcare associations) and define engagement model:
  • Sponsorship tier
  • Speaking slots
  • Co-branded events
  • Closed-door executive sessions

3. Sales & Leadership Alignment

  • Partner with Sales Leadership to:
  • Identify priority accounts and territories for event participation
  • Align field events to account penetration strategy
  • Coordinate executive attendance and relationship mapping
  • Develop executive briefing frameworks:
  • Talking points
  • Target account summaries
  • Event objectives for C-suite attendees
  • Ensure leadership time is deployed strategically at the highest-impact events.
  • Facilitate pre-event and post-event alignment sessions with Sales.

4. On-Site Execution Excellence

  • Lead end-to-end logistics, vendor management, and operational execution.
  • Ensure:
  • Clear run-of-show documentation
  • Stakeholder role clarity
  • Real-time issue management
  • High-quality brand representation
  • Oversee booth design, experiential elements, AV, staffing plans, and on-site messaging consistency.
  • Serve as the event lead on the ground, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.

5. Post-Event Impact & Measurement

  • Define event success metrics beyond vanity metrics:
  • Pipeline created
  • Pipeline accelerated
  • Executive meetings conducted
  • Strategic account engagement depth
  • Partner with Marketing Ops and Sales Ops to:
  • Track event influence in CRM
  • Measure ROI by event tier
  • Develop quarterly event performance reviews

  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with:
  • Event organizers
  • Hospitality venues
  • Production vendors
  • Fabricators
  • Optimize cost per executive engagement and cost per opportunity metrics.

7. Team & Process Leadership

  • Build and manage a high-performing events team (as scale requires).
  • Develop scalable playbooks for:
  • Executive dinners
  • Roundtables
  • Tier-1 conference execution
  • Partner-led activations
  • Implement event planning workflows and documentation standards.
  • Establish repeatable pre-event and post-event operating rhythms.
