About the Role
We are seeking a Director /Sr. Director Solution Engineering to design, build, and deliver complex healthcare data and AI solutions in real world production environments. This role is highly execution oriented and requires deep hands on engineering, strong solution architecture skills, and the ability to operate in ambiguous, constrained, and high pressure environments to make things work. The focus is on delivering scalable systems that create measurable impact using data, AI, and machine learning.
A Day in the Life
- Lead architecture and implementation of large scale healthcare data and AI platforms
Design end to end solution architectures spanning cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, AI ML systems, and application layers. - Build and operationalize advanced AI capabilities including LLM based systems, RAG pipelines, and model orchestration frameworks.
- Apply strong statistical fundamentals to model design, validation, performance measurement, and decision making.
- Work directly with customer environments that are complex, fragmented, and imperfect and drive solutions to production despite constraints.
- Develop and deploy systems that handle large volumes of healthcare data including claims, clinical, and financial datasets.
- Own reliability, performance, scalability, and security of deployed solutions.
- Integrate AI solutions into existing enterprise workflows and systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data quality, system, and model issues in production.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership to align platform capabilities with real world needs.
- Establish technical standards and best practices across data engineering, AI ML, and cloud architecture.
- Mentor senior engineers and raise the technical bar across teams
What You Need
- 15 plus years of professional software engineering experience with significant time in principal or staff level roles.
- Deep expertise in solution architecture for distributed systems and cloud native platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent professional experience
- Strong hands-on experience with modern cloud ecosystems and data platforms.
- Proven experience building and deploying AI ML systems into production.
- Hands-on experience with LLM architectures, RAG patterns, MCP or equivalent orchestration frameworks.
- Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and data analysis applied to real world systems.
- Expertise in Python and SQL with experience in large scale data processing frameworks.
- Experience working with healthcare data and understanding regulatory and compliance constraints.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, high pressure, and resource constrained environments.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive outcomes end to end
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with healthcare cost management, utilization management, or clinical analytics.
- Experience working with payer or provider scale data ecosystems
Experience building internal platforms or accelerators to improve delivery velocity. - Exposure to optimization, forecasting, or decision intelligence systems
