About the Role
We are looking for an Area Vice President of Sales for our Enterprise Provider. You will be responsible for selling Innovaccer’s platform to U.S. healthcare providers. Reporting to a Managing Director, you will work closely with top executives at leading healthcare providers within a region of the U.S. to introduce and expand the adoption of Innovaccer’s offerings, while leading and supporting the role’s dedicated and shared internal teams. It is critical that this person understands the clinical, financial, operational, and technology challenges facing healthcare providers, and how tools such as Innovaccer’s empower providers to improve clinical and financial outcomes for their patients, their clinicians, and themselves, and has a track record of closing multi-year, multi million-dollar healthcare IT contracts in complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes.
A Day in the Life
- Use your interpersonal skills, healthcare and technology knowledge, and dedication to the customer’s best interests to build trusted relationships with all levels of customer stakeholders, particularly with senior executives.
- Manage full-cycle sales processes from the initial discussion through closure, including initial communications, onsite and remote meetings, presentations and demonstrations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Establish and maintain a twelve-month marketing and outreach plan to grow relationships and sales pipeline, then lead and support a dedicated marketing and events team as they execute that plan.
- Set opportunity strategy, then lead and support execution by yourself and a team of dedicated and shared resources, including inside sales, sales engineering, growth strategy, and subject matter experts
- Represent Innovaccer at local, regional, and national industry conferences and meetings, inside and outside your assigned territory.
- Establish collaborative relationships with field associates at Innovaccer’s key partners to support each others’ growth efforts.
- Be a continuous learner; stay informed on local, regional, and national healthcare business and clinical trends, changes to the regulatory and business environment, technology developments, and competitors.
- Complete administrative responsibilities including sales forecasting, pipeline management, contact management, and assessing territory health
- Provide honest feedback to improve how Innovaccer presents itself to the market, optimizes internal processes, builds great products, and develops high-performing associates and teams.
What You Need
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a healthcare-related field is helpful, but not required
- Minimum 8+ years of healthcare sales experience in a team selling environment, working with business and clinical C-level leadership at provider organizations. Experience managing inside sales and demand generation associates is helpfu,l but not required.
- Working knowledge of healthcare data, analytics, and technology concepts and applications.
- Ability to hold persuasive business, clinical, and technology conversations with C-level leaders at customers and prospects using healthcare acumen and an understanding of business priorities that drive enterprise software decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to build and nurture a network of trusted business relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to close multi million-dollar, 3+ year healthcare IT contracts with large provider enterprises, with an average cycle time of 12+ months involving multiple stakeholders and departments, extensive business justification, and C-level engagement.
- Willingness and ability to prospect potential clients through multiple channels, including phone, email, and in-person events.
