Your Role

This is a leadership role where you will direct Innovaccer’s strategy for the local, county and state government market and work with the Innovaccer leadership team and cross-functional leaders across sales, product, growth, and inside sales teams to make us win in the market as a team!

As a public sector veteran and working directly with the GM, Government Sales, you will be responsible for utilizing and building upon your subject matter expertise to drive Innovaccer’s continued growth into the government market and accelerate the adoption of the Innovaccer platform. The Executive Director, Government uses their knowledge of public sector health organizations, Medicaid plans, public health agencies, and social services programs to hone our suite of solutions to meet the challenges faced by health and human services agencies. You will be responsible for working with teams across the company to enhance and execute the vision, strategy, growth and differentiation of Innovaccer’s solution portfolio. As part of this, you’ll work closely with sales, product, and marketing functions to identify new solution opportunities, nurture new and existing partnerships with industry leaders, and guide sales pursuit strategies.

A Day in the Life

  • Working closely between the Product, Growth Strategy, and Sales teams to build and execute sales strategies, including understanding the client needs and relevant Innovaccer capabilities.
  • Leading cross-functional internal teams to craft win themes, build differentiators, and generate content to create compelling proposal responses.
  • Liaising with internal teams to inform Innovaccer’s product development strategy and align it with emergent public sector trends and needs.
  • Maintaining awareness and understanding of existing and target customer agency policy, priorities, and strategy.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at existing and target customer agencies.
  • Supporting and advising Innovaccer’s Sales team as they identify and pursue growth opportunities.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert to support the development of sales collateral, meeting strategy and messaging, and marketing materials.
  • Building trust with, and demonstrating strategic values to, system integrators and other potential partners to grow our addressable market.
  • Deepening our understanding of the government market segments and relevant audiences through competitive and market intelligence.
  • Educating the organization on the value of proposed solutions, including thought leadership work that can be used internally and externally.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, championing Innovaccer’s story via white papers, podcasts, conference sessions, and other externally-facing channels.

What You Need

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience working with or for a health-focused public sector entity, including: Medicaid agency, health and human services departments, and/or public health agency.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to excel in a collaborative, team-focused environment
  • Demonstrated experience executing complex tasks within defined timeframes
  • Experience and fluency with healthcare information technology, especially data warehousing, decision support, or analytics

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Advanced degree in Public Policy/Administration, Public Health, Healthcare or other related disciplines
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry and experience working with/knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience working with remote/geographically distributed teams.
