About the Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer who will bring creativity and experience as they work collaboratively with a talented team. As a software engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of core front-end features of the Highspot platform. Our ideal candidate understands how to build customer-facing web applications; they are a skilled communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with designers, product managers, and engineers; they are self-managed, curious, and resourceful.
Responsibilities
- Partner with UX, Product Management, Data Science, and other teams to create software that customers love.
- Develop clean, reusable, supportable, and well-tested RESTful APIs and web services, including Highspot’s external API.
- Integrate observability solutions with infrastructure and applications across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment workflows for applications running on Kubernetes.
- Develop and optimize observability pipelines to collect, store, and query metrics, logs, and traces efficiently.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and maintenance of observability tools using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Build scalable methodologies, tools, and techniques accompanied by excellent technical documentation.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and practices to further enhance team capabilities and your own skill.
- Act as a mentor and source for direction, training, and guidance for more junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- 3-6 years of relevant professional software engineering experience with backend technologies, not including internships/co-ops.
- Experience with server-side languages and frameworks such as Ruby, Java, Node.js, Python, or similar.
- Experience in containerization and deployment technologies - Docker/CI/Kubernetes.
- Experience in developing and integrating RESTful APIs in the application.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools like Github, BuildKite, ArgoCD.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

Good To Have
- Familiarity with SaaS products/Cloud Technologies like AWS, Azure.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters for containerized applications in production environments(EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure and their observability services
