Senior Software Engineer
Haul
Haul, now part of Fleetworthy Solutions, is building the future of driver workforce management. Originally launched as a digital hiring platform connecting certified, vetted commercial truck drivers with fleets, Haul gave drivers the freedom to choose assignments based on type, length, and schedule—with full visibility into pay and instant access to earned wages.
Now integrated into Fleetworthy, we’re expanding beyond hiring into a compliance-first driver management platform, helping fleets tackle their most pressing challenges: safety, risk, compliance, tolling, and operational efficiency. We serve third-party logistics providers, private fleets, and trucking companies with flexible solutions—from temporary drivers to full-time hires—while powering the compliance backbone for some of the largest fleets in North America.
Our roots trace back to Uber Freight, and our teams in the San Francisco Bay Area, Denver, and nationwide are building at the intersection of trucking, compliance, and AI innovation.

Why Join Us
Impact at scale: As part of Fleetworthy, you’ll help shape industry-wide solutions while still working in a small, high-ownership team environment.
Real-world problems: We’re not just writing code—we’re solving compliance, safety, and workforce challenges that affect millions of drivers and fleets daily.
Entrepreneurial culture: We still operate with startup agility inside a larger platform—expect plenty of autonomy, accountability, and the ability to move fast.
Industry firsts: We’re pushing out predictive toll intelligence, AI-powered compliance risk detection, and driver workforce innovations. The technical challenges are abundant and unique.
Why This Might Not Be a Fit
We’re looking for experienced engineers who can contribute quickly—we don’t currently have bandwidth for entry-level training.
Processes are still evolving; if you need rigid structure and predictability, this isn’t it.
Change happens fast. If you’re not comfortable iterating and adapting, you may find the pace overwhelming.
You’ll need to be self-driven—our teams are distributed and mostly remote, with hubs in the Bay Area and Denver.
