Position Summary

As the Director of Product Management for Harness Feature Management & Experimentation (FME), you will own the vision and execution of our core product strategy. You’ll lead a team of product managers and partner closely with engineering, design, marketing, and go-to-market teams to deliver capabilities that enable faster, safer software delivery through feature management and experimentation. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on product expertise and has high visibility across Harness executive leadership.

About the role

  • Define the product vision, strategy, and success metrics for Harness FME.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a team of product managers.
  • Drive roadmap planning and execution across feature flagging, experimentation, SDKs, and release monitoring.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to deliver simple, scalable, and high-quality features.
  • Engage directly with customers to validate needs and shape product direction.
  • Monitor market and competitive trends to ensure FME leads in innovation.
  • Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success to launch and drive adoption of new capabilities.
  • Present strategy and progress to executive leadership to align priorities and secure resources.
  • Establish processes and practices that improve product development at scale

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years leading PMs.
  • Experience building and scaling developer tools, experimentation platforms, or data infrastructure.
  • Strong technical acumen with a background in experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
  • Familiarity with analytics and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Mixpanel, or Segment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence engineers, customers, and executives.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful products.
  • The ideal candidate has leveraged an experimentation platform, whether homegrown or third-party, to drive an experimentation program at scale

Work Location

  • We would prefer someone to be based in the Bay Area but we will consider candidates who are located within the U.S

The anticipated base salary range for this position is between $230,000 and $255,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors including location, level, relevant experience, and skills. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
