Engineering Program Manager

Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Program Manager, to operate at the intersection of product, engineering, and business teams. You will be responsible for driving strategic, cross-functional initiatives, leading global programs, and supporting engineering leadership in delivering operational excellence. You will be the central point of coordination for technical programs, helping teams stay aligned, on track, and accountable while navigating ambiguity with confidence. You will bring structure, clarity, and rhythm to complex initiatives and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid technical foundation, sharp organizational skills, ability to work with different teams and a proactive mindset for removing roadblocks and delivering results.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning:
- Facilitate product planning while working closely with the product and engineering teams.
- Partner with leadership to identify key cross functional programs that will help engineering operational efficiency.
- Create structure for complex programs by defining goals, timelines, and success metrics on high impact, cross functional strategic programs.
Program Execution:
- Coordinate execution across engineering, product, and operations teams
- Own regular program updates and reporting to key stakeholders and execs about progress, risks, mitigation plans etc.
- Analyze product, engineering and business metrics and synthesize complex data into clear narratives and actionable insights for decision making.
- Identify, track and proactively mitigate the risks across programs by driving decisions across teams.
- Facilitate and run recurring status meetings and progress reviews with teams and stakeholders.
Engineering Operations:Support engineering leadership in preparing and running staff meetings: including designing agenda, sharing pre-reads, follow up on action items and outcome tracking.
- Drive planning and execution of engineering all hands meeting: including crafting content, building presentations, and managing logistics.
- Assess existing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in planning, delivery and quality.
- Support adoption of processes, tool workflows and best practices across eng org.
What are we looking for:
- 5-8 years of experience in program management or technical operations preferably in a high growth SaaS or deep tech environment.
- Experience in a technical program/project management role within an engineering organization
- Proven success managing global, cross functional programs with complex interdependencies
- Strong operational acumen: business, system and process understanding, ability to analyze data and identify patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills: ability to distill complex updates into clear, concise narratives.
- Experience working closely with engineering, product and business teams.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, and bringing structure in unstructured environments
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies and best practices in product development.
- A proactive hands on leader who can drive outcomes independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in engineering, product, or analytics a strong plus
- Experience supporting leadership at a VP or C level
- Prior experience with tools like JIRA, confluence, nation, tableau/looker and project management tools
- Strong design for building decks and story telling in executive forums
- Understanding of SDLC and product release processes
Work Location
- Bangalore. The successful candidate will be expected to be in the Bangalore office 3x/ week.
