Founding Product Marketing Manager
Gushwork

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

About Us:
Gushwork is reinventing how businesses get discovered online. We're an agentic AI startup that helps B2B companies show up in AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity—by building a content engine on websites designed to attract AI visitors alongside human visitors.
We're a US and Bengaluru-based company that's raised over $11M from top-tier global VCs including Lightspeed. While search behavior is rapidly shifting toward AI, most B2B companies are being left behind. We're changing that.
We're at an exciting inflection point—moving fast, solving hard problems, and building technology that's becoming critical infrastructure as AI reshapes how buyers find solutions. If you want to work on challenging problems with a talented team in a high-growth environment, we'd love to meet you.
More about the role below - if you feel it’s a fit, we are excited to meet you!
About the role
We're hiring our first Product Marketer to define how Gushwork shows up in the market. You'll own positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy as we scale from early traction to category leadership in a market that's being created in real-time.
The challenge: buyers are shifting from traditional search to AI answer engines, but most B2B companies don't know this is happening—and even fewer know what to do about it. Our customers buy outcomes (leads, visibility, revenue), not technical features. Your job is to translate what we build into why it matters, and make it impossible for our ideal customers to ignore us.
This is a founding role. You'll build the product marketing function from the ground up, working directly with leadership to shape strategy, and with sales and product teams to ensure we're telling the right story to the right people.
What You’ll Do:
- Own product positioning and messaging—translate our agentic AI platform into clear, compelling value propositions that resonate with non-technical B2B buyers
- Develop go-to-market strategy as we expand into new verticals and move upmarket
- Create sales enablement materials: pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, competitive battle cards, objection handling guides
- Work closely with sales to understand what's working in the field—which messages land, which objections come up, how deals are won and lost
- Build and execute product launch strategies for new features and capabilities
- Develop customer narrative and proof points—case studies, testimonials, ROI frameworks that make the business case undeniable
- Own competitive intelligence and positioning—understand the landscape and how we differentiate
- Partner with product team to influence roadmap based on market feedback and positioning opportunities
- Drive content strategy that educates the market on the shift to AI-driven search and establishes Gushwork as a thought leader
- Build frameworks for pricing and packaging as we test new models and move upmarket
What we are looking for?
- 3-6 years of product marketing experience, preferably at high-growth B2B SaaS companies with exposure to website content and sales enablement
- Exceptional positioning and messaging skills—you know how to distill complex technical products into simple, compelling narratives
- Deep understanding of B2B buyer psychology and how to create urgency around emerging problems
- Experience selling to non-technical buyers or traditional industries (manufacturing, distribution, services) is a major plus
- Track record of successful product launches and go-to-market execution
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills—you can influence without authority and build alignment across sales, product, and marketing
- Analytical mindset—you use data to inform positioning decisions and measure what's working
- Comfort with ambiguity and building in a startup environment—you don't need a playbook, you create one
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience in martech, growth tools, or lead generation products
- Understanding of how AI is changing search behavior and buyer journeys
- Background in B2B demand gen or growth marketing
- Experience at companies that created new categories or redefined existing ones
Why this role matters?
- You're building a function at a company solving a massive, timely problem as AI reshapes how businesses get discovered
- Direct impact on growth—your positioning and messaging will directly influence pipeline and revenue
- Work with a technical product that has clear ROI and solves real pain for customers
- Shape the narrative for an emerging category as search shifts to AI
- Ground floor opportunity with significant equity upside at a well-funded startup
