The Role
The Sr. Manager, Corporate FP&A will support the development and oversight of the Corporate planning and analytical processes to ensure seamless integration into Regional and Functional organizations. Reporting to the Director, Corporate FP&A, the Sr. Manager will work with the team to help shape and enhance the design and implementation of Global short- and long-term planning processes. The Sr. Manager, Corporate FP&A will play a key role in implementation of the new ERP as well as Financial Planning & Reporting tool. You will collaborate with colleagues across the organization with the overall goal to support the development of new and innovative medicines for cancer patients.
This is a hybrid role that requires being onsite 60% of the time in Princeton, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Consolidation of Company financials across all regions for Budgeting and Forecast periods
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages as well Budget and Forecast presentations, including internal reporting as well as external guidance
- Design and implement budget and planning processes (for short-, medium- and long-this includes developing, communicating and driving budget timeline that is aligned with Regions and Functions, creating budget templates and preparing budget deliverables
- Play a key role in the implementation and launch of new ERP roll-out as well as new Financial Planning tool
- Support Corporate Controlling initiatives with financial management and controlling of Corp G&A cost centers
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve financial procedures leveraging newly acquired technology including Adaptive Insights, Planisware, and Workday
- Validate business input into budget and planning
- Provide analytic support to strategic corporate initiatives and projects
- Operational Finance: Develop training and implementation of systems that enable reporting and delivery in an efficient manner of standardized reporting. Current operational finance capabilities are not mature
- Other responsibilities and projects assigned by the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required. A CPA/ MBA or other graduate degree is desired.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in operational finance
- SAP and Adaptive experience a plus
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP and IFRS)
- Strong experience in designing & leading best-in-class FP&A processes, (e.g. budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning) working with a large complex global life sciences company is required.
- Progressive, forward thinker; ambitious; comfortable with ambiguity; tenacious; flexible.
- Driven to see tangible results, able to push for results but also collaborate with others to drive them.
- Effective in using state of the art of analysis tools to ensure timely, accurate, and insightful accurate forecasts; systems implementation and fluency in latest digital trends in FP&A is a strong plus.
- Experience working in a variety of financial or operating assignments in which he or she has been responsible for executing best-in-class disciplines to optimize business results.
- Demonstrate the ability to balance multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities to achieve a positive outcome.
- Be a team player with an ownership mentality who is not afraid to “roll up the sleeves,” and demonstrate a diplomatic, intuitive and mature presence; operate well in a fast-paced environment.
For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$122,000.00---$183,000.00The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
