Position Summary:

The Sales Force Effectiveness Manager of Genmab KK (Japan) will be primarily responsible for driving sales force effectiveness through appropriate operational management and maximization of multichannel approaches in achieving sales goals and objectives with a clear and specific alignment to the Company and Brand strategy.

The Sales Force Effectiveness Manager will be focused on planning sales target setting, KPI setting/tracking, incentives planning and for support of field sales executions. He/she will partner with the other cross-functional key-stakeholders to pull through the strategic directions of the Brand Plans.

The position is to report to the Director, Commercial Excellence and work closely with the Marketing Team, field force managers, IT team and other related functions to ensure the strategic alignment and effective tactical execution of the launch activities and thereafter.

Primary roles & responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Design Territory Alignment and manage continuous improvement of targeting model and approach. Lead KPI development in collaboration with the sales leadership and the marketing team Analyze and propose call planning, call allocation and Sales target distribution plan Develop and execute the incentive plan Lead the granting rules, annual evaluation process for sales team, other specific guidelines with stakeholders Monitor and analyze team performance on multiple quantitative and qualitative KPIs and insights gather from the field and customers, and provides recommendations to enhance effective omnichannel engagement. As the Data Owner, lead the process of managing customer information using CRM and other business-related systems, and update the specifications with ITs, and drive the process in cooperation with the stakeholders. Ability to connect and align with Global functions to leverage key learnings and share best practices from the market level Not limited to above.

  • He/she must be a highly independent and qualified Sales Force Effectiveness area matter expert to enhance the field force effectiveness, bringing multichannel approaches

  • Skilled at negotiating with business partners or management and influencing senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization.

  • Strong knowledge of syndicated pharmaceutical industry data.

  • Strongly preferred: Knowledge of best practices, business processes and commercial systems across the pharmaceuticals industry. (CRM, BI tools, etc.)

  • Skill in creating and implementing business plans which align with the organization’s strategy.

  • Established business planning and budgeting acumen and judgment.

  • Strategic thinking abilities (beyond the tactical execution excellence)

  • Have excellent communication skills

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred

  • Having a minimum experience of 3 years in SFE/Commercial Excellence/Strategic Planning (business/sales analytics) in pharmaceutical industry or consulting company

  • Experience in working for multi-national company highly preferred

  • Experience in alliance partnerships preferred

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of strategic problem solving and frameworks, and project management skills

  • Proficient at creating and communicating among team members effectively aligning resources and activities to achieve functional area and/or organizational goals.

  • Experience in Oncology/Hematology and/or specialty pharma preferred

  • Communicate in English with global colleagues via email and verbal.

  • Valid w permanent residency in Japan.

  • Native level Japanese in readying, writing, and verbal.
