Role

As an HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will serve as a strategic advisor to managers across designated functional areas. This role involves implementing core HR processes within their assigned organization, in close coordination with Centers of Excellence (COEs) within the Global HR organization and other partners, ensuring the development and delivery of the most suitable services and programs.

You will coach leaders and implement effective change management strategies as Genmab continues to grow and expand. This individual will deeply understand and embody Genmab's culture and values, aligning HR communications with clients and delivering HR services to enhance performance within the assigned groups.

You will report to the VP, Global HR Business Partner R&D.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with leadership and employees to improve engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness, driving stronger business performance;

  • Formulate partnerships across the HR function, including Global HRBPs, Centers of Expertise’s, and HR Operations, to deliver value-added services that reflect the organization's business objectives.

  • Provide coaching and counseling to employees and management, ensuring objectivity and professionalism in handling sensitive issues;

  • Ensure visibility into the talent population of assigned client groups and execute talent management processes (HiPo identification, internal mobility, succession planning, and training) within expected timelines;

  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations as appropriate. Partner with leaders to develop Performance Improvement Plans for employees with substandard performance;

  • Deploy effective change management activities to maintain optimal performance amid Genmab’s business transformation;

  • Strategically influence business leaders with data and insights;

  • Assist in rolling out annual HR processes related to performance management and year-end compensation planning for assigned functions;

  • Support Genmab’s headcount/budget planning process, data analytics and reporting, and addressing general employee inquiries.

  • Support the update of the company’s career connections platform in partnership with business stakeholders;

  • Oversee recruitment activities and proactively share opportunities for improvement with the COE;

  • Serve as a project leader for HR and/or in partnership with HR Leadership Team members on business-driven initiatives (e.g., organizational structure changes, cultural change, employee rewards, and organizational effectiveness).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in an HR discipline is preferred;

  • Minimum of 10 years of HR Generalist experience and/or business-facing global HR role with demonstrated increasing responsibilities;

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences industry is highly preferred;

  • Ability to work globally and across multiple cultures with awareness and sensitivity;

  • Strategic thinking and operational skills, with attention to detail.

  • Strong influencing skills and experience successfully leading initiatives;

  • Effective communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills, with proficiency in addressing diverse audiences;

  • Experience in organization design and process development/redesign is desirable;

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment;

  • Familiarity with HR systems (Workday).
