Role
The Protein Separations Team is seeking a temporary Research Associate! Are you looking for a temporary lab-based role that will allow you to immerse yourself in the world of antibody science? This one might be just it!
Our dynamic department drives CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls) development at all clinical stages. In pre-clinical phases, we enhance screening methods and craft efficient antibody purification strategies. As programs advance to later stages, we specialize in refining capabilities for antibody enrichment and fractionation using advanced HPLC-based technologies.
We also perform downstream process (DSP) characterization, focusing on chromatography and TFF (Tangential Flow Filtration) steps, constantly improving existing processes and introducing new technologies. Join us and shape the future of antibody science!
Responsibilities
- You will perform process screening and development for antibody products.
- You will execute downstream process steps such as chromatography and TFF.
- You will perform biochemical analyses for antibody products (e.g. HPLC assays).
- You contribute towards having efficient technology transfers to CMOs.
- You work closely with scientists and other research associates in multiple project teams.
- You present results in a clear and understandable manner. You document your findings in presentations and written reports.
- You contribute to continuous optimization and innovation within our team, where scouting for new (high-throughput) technology opportunities is key.
Requirements
You are keen and motivated to use your up-to-date knowledge and experience with protein purification and characterization techniques to strengthen our team. You are precise and accurate in the execution of experiments and in the documentation of the results obtained. You are pro-active and solution-oriented when results do not meet expectations.
In addition, you meet the following professional requirements:
- You have a completed HLO/BSc education or equivalent. PhD candidates are considered overqualified.
- You have at least 1-2 years of experience in a relevant industry.
- You have experience with CMC research using both preparative and analytical methods.
- You have experience with preparative protein chromatography techniques (e.g. affinity, ionic and others) and with TFF process design and optimization.
- You are familiar with relevant software in this field such as UNICORN and Empower.
- You are motivated by delivering high quality output and are used to working according to a quality system.
- You are able to work with tight deadlines and are capable of running several projects in parallel and adjust priorities appropriately.
- You are a strong team player and collaborate effectively with internal and external parties to support continuous process development and characterization.
- You have good communication skills in English, as this is Genmab's main language.
About You
