We are seeking a Senior Project Manager or Associate Director for the R&D Strategic Initiatives (RDSI), a team dedicated to the forefront of enhancing, strengthening, and expanding Genmab’s research infrastructure. With a focus on technology innovation, both wet-lab and AI/Digital research technologies, our team tackles complex challenges head-on. This position is based primarily in the Netherlands, with a flexible working arrangement of 60% onsite and 40% remote work.

Key Responsibilities
Your primary role will be to lead Technology Innovation projects within the Discovery Technologies program (DiscoTech) as well as other areas in Research. DiscoTech is pivotal in advancing Genmab’s Discovery research capabilities in both wetlab and drylab environments, essential for cutting-edge drug discovery. Your work will cover a broad spectrum, from molecular and cell sciences to protein sciences, and from high-throughput/high-content screening to lab automation and data Science.

In this vital role, you will manage a variety of Research capabilities projects, fostering collaboration with Genmab. Additionally, you will spearhead research collaborations within the DiscoTech program, enhancing cross-functional best practices and synthesizing expertise across our locations in the Netherlands, Denmark, and the US.

Reporting directly to the Team Lead of RDSI-Research, your contributions will be crucial in supporting research teams by optimizing communication and processes. This includes coordinating team meetings, managing project information, and overseeing budgets, contracts, and documentation. You will provide critical overviews of project deliverables and budget estimates, align project timelines, and connect key stakeholders across various functions.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in life sciences required; additional post-graduate degrees in life sciences or engineering preferred.
  • At least 5 years of project or program management experience in biotech/pharmaceutical R&D.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven leadership qualities with a flexible and results-oriented mindset.
  • Experience integrating external technology platforms highly desirable.
  • Resilient and self-motivated with a "can-do" attitude and a drive to make a significant impact
  • Proficient in project management methodologies (preferably PMBOK and Agile).
