As a Senior Software Engineer at Fountain, you will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, designers, and product managers to create user-centered web applications that empower organizations to improve employee retention. To succeed, you should have a proven track record with rich enterprise products, strong problem-solving skills, and a solid technical background in frontend/backend development, relational modeling, API interfaces, scalability, and architecture. The Fountain Engineering team is organized into product squads that independently own product health and market fit. What you’ll be doing: Design, develop, test, and maintain features; collaborate with product and design; review other developers’ work; implement RESTful APIs and build functionality in Ruby on Rails; ensure quality, reliability, operations, and security; address performance bottlenecks and optimize for speed and scalability; stay up-to-date with industry trends. What you should bring: 7+ years full stack engineering; product-oriented development; proficiency with Ruby on Rails, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL (must have); MUI, Elasticsearch, Webpack; MongoDB/Express/TailwindCSS (nice to have); testing with Jest and RSpec; strong problem solving; ability to work independently; excellent English communication. Nice to Have: B2B SaaS startup and remote experience; familiarity with coding agents and agentic tooling; event-driven/serverless/high-volume architectures, API strategies, MongoDB, AWS, micro-services, web security, Agile; experience in Agile teams and international contexts.
