As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Fountain, you'll join a team of QA engineers responsible for ensuring the quality of our products. Collaborating closely with product managers, designers, software engineers, and customer support representatives, you'll ensure our products meet requirements and remain bug-free.To excel in this role, you should possess a proven knack for bug-hunting, regression & exploratory testing, and building out automated testing scripts for end-to-end workflows. You should also possess strong communication & collaboration skills across different team roles, as well as a curious & proactive mindset.The Fountain Engineering team is organized into product squads, each responsible for independently owning the product's quality and health. The teams are the domain experts of their products, are always looking to improve their operation, and iterate rapidly to develop new features. We build fast, and occasionally break things ;)This role requires collaboration within a globally distributed organization, spanning different time zones, continents, and cultures (including Western and Northern Europe, USA, South Africa, Mexico, and more).What you'll be doing:Conducting comprehensive end-to-end testing of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across desktop and mobile platformsKeeping a user-first approach to testing, ensuring a positive end-user experiencePerforming regression test on existing products end-to-end to ensure stability before releasesWriting and maintaining automation scripts for end-to-end workflowsClearly documenting issues and improvements to the engineering teamWorking with implementation and customer success teams to reproduce, document, and escalate user-reported issuesEngaging closely with product, design, and engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle, offering insights at every stageProviding regular updates on testing progress and overall product quality to the QA team and other stakeholdersAssisting remote colleagues with questions about functionality that you’ve testedDocumenting internal-facing summaries of notable features that you’ve testedProactively identifying and addressing process improvements in collaboration with team membersWhat you should bring:4+ years of experience in manual QA, including experience testing on both desktop and mobile platformsAbility to read and understand code with focus on early defect preventionThe ability to learn new concepts quickly, and be able to explain them to othersUnderstanding of agile development processesExperience in issue tracking software, Linear preferredResponsiveness and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective collaboration with the teamAbility to navigate ambiguity, escalate issues proactively, and multitask in a fast-paced environmentNice to have:Experience in B2B SaaS startup environments and remote international settings is preferred
