Fishbrain is the world’s most popular fishing app, used by millions of anglers in the US and beyond. CRM is a central part of how we build long-lasting relationships with our users and guide them through every step of their journey. Our lifecycle communication has a direct impact on activation, retention, and subscription growth and we are now looking for a hands-on leader to run this engine.

You will report to the CMO, who defines the broader commercial strategy, and you are the one who brings it to life. As Head of CRM you'll take the helm of our lifecycle efforts. In this role, you’ll lead a talented team through a constant cycle of execution, optimization, and experimentation to help our community thrive. You are a "player-coach" who enjoys the balance between high-level roadmap planning and the day-to-day work inside our tools.

What you’ll do

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of CRM Managers, while actively participating in the day-to-day execution.

  • Be responsible for the performance of our lifecycle flows (activation, retention, and monetization) and ensure they align with our commercial goals.

  • Partner closely with product teams and collaborate with the wider marketing team to create a cohesive user journey that supports acquisition, engagement and long-term retention.

  • Ensure all customer communication is helpful, valuable and aligned with in-app experiences and product developments.

  • Use product updates, feature launches and seasonal opportunities to create relevant customer communication that supports the overall user experience.

  • Design, launch and improve automated and campaign-based lifecycle flows.

  • Work hands-on in Braze to build segmented, personalized, and event-driven journeys.

  • Run A/B tests and experiments to find the best cadence and messaging. You don’t just report data, you turn it into immediate action.

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in CRM, marketing automation, lifecycle or retention marketing within a B2C digital or subscription-based business.

  • You are comfortable working directly in tools like Braze or similar platforms. You enjoy the craft of building flows as much as the logic behind them.

  • Proven ability to design and execute lifecycle and CRM initiatives that drive measurable business results.

  • Strong understanding of user segmentation, behavioral targeting and multi-channel communication.

  • Experience leading teams and working closely with product and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • A collaborative leader who enjoys solving customer problems and improving the user journey.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work confidently with data to guide decisions and improvements.

  • You are comfortable taking a lead role in projects, ensuring clarity and follow-through for your team.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a tech scale-up environment.

  • An interest in the outdoors or fishing, it helps you understand the "vibe" and needs of our users.

Where you’ll work

We work in a hybrid setup, and all team members are expected to work from our Stockholm HQ, The Lighthouse, at least two days per week.
