About The Role
We are looking for a passionate Backend Software Engineer to join our Shared Services team. In this role, you will build and maintain reusable backend services that power multiple products across the organization. You'll work closely with Product, Design, QA, and fellow engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions while contributing throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

What You Will Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for our platform.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, and scalability issues.
- Build secure, reliable, and maintainable software following industry best practices.
- Ensure high code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, and product ideation.
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Continuously improve engineering practices by adopting modern technologies, authentication standards, and AI-assisted development tools.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in backend software development.
- Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented programming principles.
- Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools or agentic workflows (e.g., LLMs, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI APIs, or similar) to improve software development productivity.
- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Experience with containerization and modern development workflows, including Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical thinking, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) is a plus.
- Experience with Keycloak or similar Identity and Access Management (IAM) platforms (e.g., Auth0, Okta, Amazon Cognito) is a plus.
- Experience building reusable platform services or internal developer tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs is a plus.
