What You Will Do
- Lead and manage a team of Financial Crime Analysts in Indonesia, providing day-to-day guidance, oversight, and quality review
- Oversee transaction monitoring and payment screening operations for StraitsX entities
- Report directly to the Head of Compliance (Singapore) on team performance, escalations, and key risk matters
- Work closely Onchain Monitoring Lead on financial crime related projects.
- Review Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and oversee investigation quality
- Drive continuous improvement of TM and screening processes, including preparation for card transaction monitoring
- Ensure compliance with applicable AML/CFT regulations, guidelines, and internal policies
- Coordinate with the Singapore compliance team on cross-border matters and escalations
- Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification, with 5–7 years of experience in AML/CFT, financial crime compliance, transaction monitoring, or related financial crime functions.
- Proven leadership experience in a team lead, supervisory, or people management capacity, with the ability to mentor, guide, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of transaction monitoring, payment screening, sanctions compliance, and financial crime risk management frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present findings, provide clear guidance, and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working within fintech, digital banking, payments, or digital asset organizations, with a strong understanding of the associated regulatory and operational environments.
- Familiarity with card transaction monitoring, fraud typologies, and card payment ecosystems, including the investigation and escalation of suspicious activity.
- Experience collaborating across regional and cross-border teams, with professional certifications such as CAMS, CAFS, ICA, or equivalent certifications considered an advantage.
