Fazz Group operates various regulated financial services businesses in Singapore & Indonesia, having received licences from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, Bank of Indonesia and Otoritas Jasa Keuangan.

The Fazz legal team is a highly collaborative group of 10+ lawyers across Singapore & Indonesia. We support the Fazz group’s business efforts in the launch and scaling up of various fintech products to our customers, such as payments, P2P lending, loans, emoney and web 3.0 blockchain powered payments.

Job Descriptions

Prepare, negotiate and advise on all aspects of customer /supplier / employment / partnership contracts, etc.
Be the first point of contact for all contractual matters and ensure timely review and assistance rendered for all contracts.
Develop and implement procedures for contract processing and management to increase efficiency across the group. Advise and work on various corporate matters such as shareholding structure, etc. to comply with various regulations while making sure it satisfies investors' requirements.
Work with finance, compliance and risk committee to ensure adherence to finance and risk requirements and provide pragmatic, robust legal / contract solutions.
Assist and deliver practical legal advise to business functions in Indonesia including business teams, marketing and compliance teams.
Actively involved in making sensible legal risk assessments which consider practical solutions to mitigate legal risks while keeping business priorities at the forefront.

Job Requirements

Have a practical and solutions-oriented approach towards legal requirements, risks mitigation and operational compliance.
Have a get-it-done, collaborative approach to problem solving and an ability to seek creative, innovative solutions for complex matters.
Understand how start-ups work - how to balance between maturity in corporate governance and operations, and the practical considerations of fast growth and scaling.
Minimum 3-5 years (Legal Counsel) / >5 years (Senior Legal Counsel) of legal experience in law firms (disputes resolution or corporate) and/or in-house counsel, preferably in fintech/payments/banking/finance industry with financial regulatory background.
Thorough understanding of legal principles in applicable to many areas of practice, including regulatory requirements, licensing, commercial contracts, business transactions, company corporate laws.
Comprehensive understanding in law & regulatory compliance matters, particularly in the prevailing laws and regulations (from BI & OJK) relevant to non-bank financial institutions.
Strong research skills on Indonesia laws and regulations, with strong written analysis and written advocacy skills.
Excellent communication skills in English (written) & Bahasa Indonesian especially with non-legal stakeholders - being able to explain complicated regulatory requirements to the business & product teams in a simple and actionable way.
Highly organized and detailed-oriented.
High proficiency in Google Drive, Google Slides, Google Docs & Microsoft Office Word (e.g. use of Styles, multi-numbered lists, paragraph spacings, etc).
Have professionalism and high integrity.
