Who are we?

FalconX is a pioneering team of operators, investors, and builders committed to revolutionizing institutional access to the crypto markets. Operating at the intersection of traditional finance and cutting-edge technology, FalconX addresses the industry's foremost challenges: Navigating the digital asset market can be complex and fragmented, with limited products and services that support trading strategies, structures, and liquidity found in conventional financial markets. As a comprehensive solution for all digital asset strategies from start to scale, FalconX operates as the connective tissue empowering clients with seamless navigation through the ever- evolving cryptocurrency landscape.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Product Manager to take ownership of our Risk platform. Over the next year, we are doubling down on our risk infrastructure as we expand into DeFi integrations, onboard institutional crypto clients, and introduce new asset classes and structured products.

This role provides a unique opportunity to lead 0-to-1 product development such as building multi-stress testing frameworks across different assets while scaling our foundational system. You will be tasked with applying traditional finance (TradFi) risk principles to a modern, 24/7 real-time crypto market environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the Risk Roadmap: Drive the product vision and strategy for the Risk domain, balancing the scaling of existing systems with the creation of entirely new 0-to-1 features.
  • Product Execution: Write comprehensive specs, PRDs, and business statements. Translate complex risk, mathematical, and traditional finance concepts into clear, actionable technical requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, as well as key stakeholders across Risk and Product leadership, to ensure real-time systems are robust, responsive, and secure.
  • Data & Analytics: Independently leverage SQL to write queries, manipulate datasets, and build rapid dashboards. Monitor portfolio Greeks (Deltas, etc.) and establish views tailored for risk and portfolio managers.
  • Market Innovation: Conceptualize and integrate new order types, asset classes, and complex OTC derivatives into the core risk framework using strong first-principles thinking.

Experience & Requirement

  • Overall Experience: 8–12 years of overall professional experience, with a core product management experience in trading, crypto, tech, fintech, or financial services.
  • Risk Domain Expertise: 2-5 years of direct experience in the risk space. Must have a deep understanding of derivatives, structured products (OTC, TRS), and how portfolio managers assess risk limits and Greeks.
  • Technical Proficiency: While you don't need to write code (Python) or design distributed systems, you must be technical enough to understand APIs and work seamlessly with engineers. Strong SQL skills are a hard requirement.
  • Trading Knowledge: Professional or active personal trading experience in cryptocurrency or other asset classes. Deep understanding of trading market structures is mandatory.
  • Institutional Background: Proven experience building institutional-grade trading tools and services. Background in Tier 1 Investment Banks (e.g., Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan) or proprietary derivatives trading shops is highly desired.
  • Product Leadership: Exceptional ability to write specs, create roadmaps, and align product and engineering teams. Brings deep industry knowledge, proven leadership, and a strong cultural fit to a high-growth environment.
