About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to support pre-sales technical validation and post-sales implementation for the Evidation Platform. This external customer-facing role helps with requirements discovery, feasibility assessment, contracting, client onboarding, and collaboration across Engineering, Product, Business Development, and Delivery to ensure successful business outcomes.
Preferred locations: Santa Barbara, CA or San Francisco Bay Area, CA

About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to support pre-sales technical validation and post-sales implementation for the Evidation Platform. This external customer-facing role helps with requirements discovery, feasibility assessment, contracting, client onboarding, and collaboration across Engineering, Product, Business Development, and Delivery to ensure successful business outcomes.

Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Scoping
- Lead technical discovery and requirements gathering with customers.
- Validate platform feasibility and provide input during scoping and contracting.
- Support Business Development with technical demos, POCs, and feasibility assessments.
- Review technical sections of SOWs and contracts to ensure feasibility.
- Configure platform integrations, including APIs, webhooks, and SSO (OIDC).
- Set up and manage data integrations.
- Coordinate engineering requests and drive issue resolution.
- Support data deliveries to customers, ensuring success of the transfer process.
- Partner with delivery and engineering teams to plan and coordinate releases of new features and associated configuration changes.
- Provide input into QA/UAT cycles as a consulted technical partner.
- Advise on change requests, clarifying technical feasibility and scope impacts.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Business Development, and Delivery to align on implementation plans.
- Present solutions and implementation updates to customer stakeholders, including technical and executive audiences.
- Document repeatable playbooks and configuration standards.
- Share structured customer feedback to inform product improvements.
- 5-7 years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, implementation, or technical consulting for SaaS/platform products.
- Hands-on experience with integrations, APIs, webhooks, and identity/authentication (SSO, OIDC).
- Ability to scope, configure, and troubleshoot complex implementations with minimal oversight.
- Experience with AI-assisted development and integrating LLMs in your workflow
- Excellent and clear written/verbal communication and executive-level presentation skills.
- Experience operating in regulated contexts (e.g., ISO 27001, CFR Part 11) or ability to ramp up quickly.
- Experience in healthcare or clinical research programs.
- Experience formalizing playbooks/standards for repeatable customer implementations.
