About The Role
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to manage external customer-facing project delivery within the Evidation’s Platform organization. This is a 6-month contract role.
This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing complex, cross-functional client projects—partnering closely with the Delivery Team and collaborating across Engineering, Product, Business Development, Research, and Data functions to ensure successful business outcomes. The TPM is responsible for gathering project requirements; managing timelines, budgets, and delivery plans; and serving as the primary client-facing contact to ensure clear communication between external partners and internal stakeholders.
Preferred locations: Santa Barbara, CA or San Francisco Bay Area, CA

What You'll Do
Delivery Execution
- Manage the full lifecycle of assigned customer projects, from kickoff through completion (including system shutdown and project archival); ensure on-time, in-scope, and within-budget delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and status reports, coordinating across delivery, engineering, product, business development, research, and data stakeholders.
- Own budget planning, forecasting, and tracking; partner with Finance to ensure billing readiness and cost transparency.
- Identify risks early, manage dependencies, and drive proactive resolution to maintain delivery momentum.
- Ensure all workstreams align with contract commitments, delivery standards, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day communications and ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
- Lead customer meetings including kickoffs, weekly status calls, and milestone reviews with clear agendas, documentation, and follow-up actions.
- Maintain and update shared client documentation, project plans, meeting notes, and presentation materials.
- Translate complex technical topics into clear, outcome-oriented updates for clients.
- Maintain positive, trust-based relationships that promote transparency and partnership.
- Provide regular reporting on project health, budget status, and delivery risks to internal stakeholders, including Delivery, Business Development, and Engineering leadership.
- Collaborate with other Project Managers to surface dependencies, track readiness, and ensure alignment on key milestones.
- Prepare delivery summaries and financial updates for portfolio-level visibility.
- Support leadership in identifying cross-project dependencies and resource needs.
- Partner with the Delivery Team to ensure coordination, accountability, and consistency across client project workstreams.
- Contribute to documentation, templates, and repeatable delivery playbooks that enhance efficiency and predictability.
- Participate in retrospectives and drive follow-up actions to improve delivery performance across the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- Project Management Professional Certification required.
- 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional, client-facing technology projects, preferably in SaaS or digital health environments.
- Proven success managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables across multiple teams.
- Technical fluency to communicate effectively with engineering and data stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for executive and customer audiences.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, and other collaborative project management tools.
- Experience working in digital health, research platforms, or regulated environments (HIPAA, GCP, ISO 27001).
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures (AWS preferred), API integrations, or data pipeline projects.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and balancing client and internal priorities.
- Comfort working in dynamic, matrixed teams where influence and communication drive outcomes.
