We’re looking for a Senior/Staff User Researcher to build, execute, and scale a comprehensive research engine that directly informs our product strategy. In this highly cross-functional role, you will act as a "full-stack" researcher, taking ownership of the three critical pillars of our research motion: Research Operations, hands-on Mixed-Methods Research, and Early Discovery Strategy.
You will roll up your sleeves to build our Research Ops infrastructure from scratch, managing participant recruitment, compliance, and tooling. Beyond operations, you will conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative studies ranging from deep-dive focus groups to sentiment benchmarking. You will also act as a deeply embedded strategic partner to Design, Product, and Engineering leadership. You will be "in the room" from the jump, helping the business validate early concepts, shaping strategy proactively, and separating the "good ideas" from the "bad ideas" long before decisions are finalized.
You will also act as a deeply embedded strategic partner to Product and Engineering leadership, helping the business validate early concepts and separate the "good ideas" from the "bad ideas."
This is an ideal role for an exceptionally analytical, scrappy, and business-minded researcher who thrives in a high-growth environment. You must be just as comfortable pulling quantitative user engagement data as you are presenting macro-level Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) opportunities to executive leadership.
What You’ll Do
End-to-End Research Ops: Build and scale the foundational infrastructure for our research practice. This includes managing participant sourcing, as well as evaluating and implementing modern research tools (including AI solutions and testing platforms).
Mixed-Methods Research Execution: Design and conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative research. Analyze user engagement by product area, run complex sentiment analyses, and execute surveys, focus groups, and targeted 1:1 user interviews.
Strategic Discovery Research: Lead early-stage exploratory research to evaluate product concepts. Partner with leadership across Design, Product, and Eng to influence direction from the very beginning, ensuring research drives decisions rather than trying to wrangle alignment after the fact.
Creative Artifact Generation & Business Alignment: Synthesize complex data into memorable, creative artifacts that extend beyond traditional written reports, such as infographics, highlight videos, and dynamic presentations. Connect user pain points and feature requests directly to ARR opportunities, ensuring research always drives business value.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Action: Proactively identify research needs based on quantitative engagement data. Draft proposals, conduct targeted outreach (e.g., Slack pings to heavy/non-users), and develop actionable recommendations and training strategies to drive product adoption.
How Success Is Measured
Strategic Impact: You are recognized as an early, influential partner in the product development lifecycle. Early discovery research directly and consistently informs the product roadmap, preventing wasted effort on low-value ideas.
Analytical Rigor: Research outputs represent a healthy, undeniable mix of quantitative data (product usage, sentiment scores) and qualitative insights ("the why").
ResOps Scalability: Clear, repeatable, and compliant operational systems are established for finding users, processing compensation, and managing tools.
Product & Business Impact: Findings are translated into actionable, highly consumable proposals that drive feature adoption and directly influence ARR growth.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 5+ years of work experience in UX Research, Product Research, or a related field within a fast-paced B2B tech environment, operating at a Senior/Staff level.
Exceptional Analytical Skills (Quant & Qual): You possess deep analytical chops. You are highly comfortable pulling and interpreting quantitative user engagement data as you are presenting macro-level Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) opportunities to executive leadership.
Research Ops Builder: A proven track record of handling the logistical side of research. You know how to navigate compliance, manage NDAs, facilitate participant payouts, and optimize a stack of AI and user testing tools.
Strategic Business Acumen: You understand how to speak the language of business. You can draw a direct line between user behaviors, adoption metrics, and revenue opportunities.
Scrappy & Strategic: You can operate in the weeds to get things done (e.g., directly pinging users on Slack to ask why they aren't using a product) while zooming out to build scalable systems and present executive-level proposals.
Outstanding Communicator & Storyteller: You take pride in producing exceptional, easy-to-digest research artifacts that break the mold. You are comfortable utilizing videos, infographics, and other creative mediums to ensure stakeholders actually consume and use your insights.
Nice to Have
Prior experience acting as a founding researcher or establishing a Research function from the ground up.
Experience leveraging AI to accelerate qualitative data synthesis or operations.
