Define migration scope, sequencing, assumptions, and success criteria in collaboration with implementation leadership.

Advise customers on data cleanup, normalization, and preparation activities prior to migration.

Data Mapping & Design

Design detailed source-to-target data mappings aligned with EvenUp’s data models, workflows, and reporting requirements.

Collaborate with the migration team to ensure migrations support future-state processes, automations, and analytics.

Define transformation rules, validation logic, and exception handling for complex legal data sets.

Contribute to migration “best practices” and reusable templates for common legal workflows.

Migration Execution

Build, execute, and manage data migrations using ETL tools, scripts, APIs, or database utilities.

Perform trial migrations, incremental loads, and final cutover migrations in accordance with project timelines.

Coordinate migration activities with platform configuration, integrations, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance throughout the migration process.

Testing, Validation & Go-Live Support

Develop and execute data validation plans to confirm completeness, accuracy, and integrity.

Partner with customers and the migration team to support UAT and resolve data-related defects.

Support go-live cutover activities and post-migration stabilization.

Troubleshoot and resolve data issues quickly to minimize customer impact.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

Document migration plans, mappings, transformation logic, and validation results.

Contribute to internal migration standards, tooling improvements, and automation efforts.

Provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams based on migration learnings and customer data patterns.

Identify opportunities to improve migration efficiency, scalability, and repeatability.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., data engineering, database, cloud, or ETL tools) preferred.

Experience

5–8 years of experience in data migration, data engineering, or technical implementation roles within enterprise SaaS environments.

Proven experience migrating large, complex datasets from legacy systems into modern cloud platforms.

Hands-on experience with ETL processes, APIs, SQL, and data transformation techniques.

Experience with ETL tools, scripting languages (e.g., Python), and API-based data transfers.

Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Experience supporting UAT and go-live activities in complex implementations.

Soft Skills & Attributes
