Position Description
As Senior Manager, Finance, you will provide critical finance support to drive our business of transforming spine surgery through personalized solutions. In this role, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to commercial, R&D, and operations leadership within a fast-paced medical device environment. This role is responsible for leading financial planning, forecasting, financial systems, and performance management processes, while providing actionable insights that drive growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. This role will be instrumental in building scalable financial infrastructure and leading the transformation of FP&A systems and reporting capabilities to support the company’s next phase of growth.
This position requires a strong combination of financial acumen, business partnership, and leadership capability to influence decision-making at senior levels.
Responsibilities
FP&A Leadership
- Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Drive planning cycles aligned with corporate strategy and operational priorities
- Develop and oversee financial models supporting strategic initiatives, capital allocation, and growth
- Lead scenario planning to support executive decision-making
Reporting & Business Insights
- Own and enhance financial reporting, including KPI dashboards, variance analysis, and executive/Board materials
- Deliver forward-looking insights, highlighting risks, opportunities, and key business drivers
- Standardize reporting frameworks, data structures, and performance metrics across functions
- Improve reporting through automation, scalability, and data visualization
Financial Systems & Transformation
- Lead FP&A systems strategy, including implementation and optimization of tools (e.g., Adaptive Planning)
- Serve as business owner of financial systems, ensuring data integrity, integration, and scalability
- Automate reporting and forecasting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Enable real-time insights and scenario modeling through integrated planning tools
Cost, Pricing & Profitability
- Partner with operations to optimize cost structure and improve gross margins
- Lead analysis supporting pricing strategy, product profitability, and market positioning
- Oversee lifecycle cost analysis and capital investment decisions
- Drive cost discipline across SG&A and operational spend
Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership across Sales, Marketing, Operations, R&D, and G&A
- Influence key decisions including product launches, investments, and operational scaling
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor and/or manage FP&A team members and foster a high-performance culture
- Establish best practices in planning, modeling, and reporting
- Build organizational capability through coaching and development
Process Improvement & Governance
- Lead continuous improvement of FP&A processes, systems, and workflows
- Partner with Accounting on month-end close, including oversight of OpEx accruals
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements
- Assist/lead other special Finance projects as needed
Skills
- Mastery with Microsoft Excel in financial modeling and analytical expertise
- Proficient with FP&A and Accounting software and systems commonly used in the sector (preferably experienced with Adaptive Planning and Netsuite)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to perform high quality work with speed
- Willingness to wear multiple hats when needed to enable excellent patient outcomes
- Detail-orientated and organized
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks with differing priorities simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a collaborative manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics required
- MBA or CPA preferred
- 10+ years of financial planning & analysis experience, including leadership responsibilities

Compensation
We are pleased to provide a competitive salary and benefits. Our benefits reflect our investment in the overall health and well-being of our employees and their families. including paying 100% of monthly healthcare, dental & vision insurance premiums, a 401(k) plan with employer matching and unlimited PTO. The expected pay range is: $160,000 - $175,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on related skills, experience, and relevant key attributes.
