Position Description

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work ensure the quality of our software products. work closely with our development team to design and implement tests, identify bugs, and improve overall software quality. This role also involves active participation in our CI/CD processes to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Manual Testing:
- Conduct thorough manual testing of web applications to identify and report bugs, usability issues, and performance concerns.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases to cover all aspects of software functionality.
Unit Testing (Node.js and React):
- Design and implement unit tests for Node.js and React components to validate their functionality, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate unit testing into the continuous integration (CI) pipeline.
Automation Testing:
- Utilize Playwright to automate end-to-end testing processes and improve overall testing efficiency.
- Maintain and enhance automated test scripts, ensuring they align with application changes.
Optional: Xcode Testing (iOS):
- If applicable, contribute to testing efforts for iOS applications using Xcode testing tools.
- Collaborate with mobile development teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage on iOS platforms.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to understand requirements and provide timely feedback.
- Communicate effectively about testing progress, issues, and resolutions within the team and to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
Experience: 3 – 5 years of software quality assurance engineering experience required
Experience with spine or orthopedics highly desired

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to perform high quality work with speed
Willingness to wear multiple hats when needed to enable excellent patient outcomes
Proven experience in manual testing of web applications, with a keen eye for detail.
Strong expertise in unit testing for Node.js and React applications.
Familiarity with Playwright for end-to-end automation testing.
Optional: Knowledge of Xcode testing tools for iOS applications.

Compensation

We pleased to provide a competitive salary and benefits. Our benefits reflect our investment in the overall health and well-being of our employees and their families, including paying 100% of monthly healthcare and dental insurance premiums and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. The expected pay range is: $90,000 to $120,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on related skills, experience, and relevant key attributes.
