Job Description
We are looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities.
Accounting Manager responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information. We are also looking for someone to work closely with our financial management team.
Key Responsibilities:
1/ Financial reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly/annual financial statements. Ensure financial reports are
prepared with accuracy and comply with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
2/ Accounting operations and Taxation:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
+ Month and year-end closing process
+ Cash receipts and Cash forecasting
+ General ledger
+ Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
+ Financial position variance analysis
+ Capital assets reconciliations
+ Trust account statement reconciliations
+ Check runs
+ Fixed asset activities
+ Payroll and utilities
+ Debt activities
+ Corporate tax activities; Accounting & Tax business partner
+ Coordinate and prepare necessary tax documents for tax filings and compliance
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Oversee consolidation group financial statements
- Oversee chart of account of the whole group
- Coordinate and complete annual audits, and tax inspections
- Provide recommendations to improve accounting processes
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Meet financial accounting objectives
3/Reconciliation and Audits:
- Conduct monthly and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger
- maintenance
- Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes
4/ Team Leadership:
- Lead, train, and develop the accounting staff
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
Requirements
Must have:
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager or related position
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- IFRS is preferred
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to direct and supervise
