Your Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and well-rounded Associate Director, Corporate Development to join our team. The role will have a direct impact on the selection and success of our drug discovery projects and our mission to transform pharma drug discovery.

You will report to our CEO and be responsible for conducting primary and secondary research, including KOL interviews, literature review, competitive intelligence monitoring, and synthesizing key findings from syndicated reports. Your role will be impactful and diverse - it will inform the nomination of programs, selection of indications, and the evaluation of partnering opportunities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide internal strategic support for ongoing pipeline projects including primary and secondary research
  • Support business development discussions for potential research collaborations and/or asset licensing
  • Manage internal due diligence processes. Lead and manage cross-functional interactions with computational chemists, medicinal chemists, and preclinical scientists to support business development discussions
  • Review scientific literature to assess biological/clinical rationale of targets / indications
  • Competitive intelligence monitoring on key targets / diseases of interest
  • Scope, design, and manage the execution of qualitative and quantitative market research for Atomwise’s assets
  • Contribute to our culture of collaboration, respect, integrity, and helpfulness

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Required:
    • Bachelors in a life science; Advanced degrees (e.g., PhD or MD) are highly preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience in conducting primary and secondary research for preclinical and early clinical stage assets
  • Preferred:
    • 2+ years of management consulting experience in the life science industry
    • Experience and proficiency in building financial models for biotechnology assets
    • A track record of outstanding written and oral communication
    • Previous research experience in small molecule drug discovery

*Pay range for this role is between $170,000 - $210,000*
