About the Role
AlphaLife Sciences is seeking an AI Engineer Leader to drive AI innovation for new projects in clinical workflows. You will lead a small team of AI engineers, provide technical guidance, and help turn cutting-edge AI/LLM technologies into practical solutions that accelerate processes, extract insights, and support clinical innovation.
We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive technologist who is passionate about AI, curious about new technologies, and capable of mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team of AI engineers and guide their development on project tasks.
- Design, develop, and prototype AI/LLM solutions for real-world clinical workflows.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to implement innovative AI solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and support skill development and productivity.
- Stay up to date with cutting-edge AI/ML research and apply relevant advances to projects.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in AI/ML or software development with AI/LLM projects.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, C/C++, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI, LLM frameworks, or other modern AI/ML technologies.
- Proactive, curious, and able to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in clinical workflows, clinical trials, or life sciences applications.
- Data analysis, cloud development, or distributed systems experience.
- Experience deploying AI solutions in production.
