DESCRIPTION:
Aetion seeks a strategic and visionary Vice President (VP) of Market Strategy and Communications to spearhead initiatives in Analyst Relations, Public Relations & Communications, Thought Leadership, Content Strategy, and Competitive Intelligence. In this critical role, you will shape Aetion’s market positioning, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategies to penetrate new markets and segments. You will lead efforts to effectively communicate all of Aetion’s solutions, including all the products built on the Aetion Evidence Platform® (AEP), across multiple industries such as Biopharma, MedTech, Payers & Providers, and Government.
A core component of this role will be assessing the return on investment (ROI) of Aetion’s solutions, ensuring that messaging emphasizes the financial value and impact these technologies deliver across the healthcare ecosystem. You will elevate Aetion’s brand, secure industry recognition, increase press coverage, and craft compelling messaging demonstrating Aetion’s influence on critical healthcare decisions. Additionally, you will analyze the competitive landscape, identify new markets and segments, and develop use cases to drive Aetion’s market expansion.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead relationships with industry analysts to position Aetion as the leader in emerging healthcare technologies and solutions. Ensure key market insights are effectively communicated and establish Aetion’s competitive advantage.
- Develop public relations narratives and strategies to boost Aetion’s brand recognition, focusing on the ROI of Aetion’s solutions and their impact on clients.
- Establish Aetion as a thought leader by contributing to industry discussions, publications, and events, highlighting Aetion’s leadership in emerging technologies that accelerate product development, enhance clinical trials, and support regulatory compliance.
- Oversee content strategy efforts, ensuring Aetion’s messaging resonates with critical stakeholders in Biopharma, MedTech, Payers & Providers, and Government across various communication channels while creating content that elevates Aetion’s presence in the market.
- Analyze competitors, monitor industry trends, and assess new market opportunities to ensure Aetion remains at the forefront of emerging technologies. Identify new markets, market segments, and use cases aligned with Aetion’s product offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Marketing, to align messaging and strategies that drive market penetration and support product development.
- Develop and execute comprehensive market strategies highlighting Aetion’s leadership in emerging technologies, ensuring product positioning and messaging consistently demonstrate the ROI and value to clients.
- Manage public relations initiatives to secure press coverage and interviews with critical industry outlets, further solidifying Aetion’s leadership position.
- Provide competitive intelligence to inform strategic decisions, enabling Aetion to identify and capitalize on new market opportunities effectively.
- Assess the ROI of Aetion’s solutions, ensuring that product positioning, messaging, and marketing strategies clearly articulate the value and financial impact for clients.
- Provide strategic insights to refine product positioning, guide decision-making, and ensure Aetion’s solutions continuously meet evolving market demands and regulatory compliance standards.
QUALIFICATIONS*:
Required Qualifications
- A master’s degree in business, marketing, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in healthcare, life sciences, or digital health, with a focus on market strategy, competitive intelligence, and emerging technologies.
- Proven leadership in Analyst Relations, Public Relations, and Thought Leadership, with demonstrated success in securing industry recognition and shaping market narratives.
- Expertise in crafting and executing go-to-market strategies that drive business growth and position companies as sector leaders.
- Strong background in Competitive Intelligence, with the ability to analyze competitors, identify new markets and develop innovative use cases for product expansion.
- Proven track record in assessing and communicating the ROI of complex technology solutions, ensuring product value is clearly understood by key stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, industry trends, and the competitive landscape in healthcare and emerging technologies.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging C-suite executives, clients, and industry leaders across diverse sectors.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and sales, to align messaging and strategy with overall business objectives.

- Proven ability to position companies as market leaders through strategic messaging, brand development, and market penetration.
- Strong track record of managing competitive intelligence initiatives, providing insights that inform strategic decisions and enhance competitive positioning.
- Experience driving thought leadership by shaping industry discussions, contributing to high-impact publications, and speaking at conferences that influence market trends.
- Demonstrated success in building and nurturing relationships with key opinion leaders, regulatory bodies, and industry analysts to elevate brand recognition and drive the adoption of innovative solutions.
- Ability to translate complex solutions into compelling value propositions for key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, industry analysts, and clients across multiple sectors.
- You have demonstrated the ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with departments such as Product, Sales, and Marketing to drive cohesive strategies.
- Deep understanding of healthcare, life sciences, and emerging technologies, with the ability to apply insights to support fee-for-service and value-based care models.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience mentoring teams and fostering a culture of innovation and high performance in fast-paced environments.

At Aetion, internal pay equity across teams is our top priority. The salary range for this position is between 200,000 and 260,000. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
